How can Counselling and Psychotherapy help?

If you are experiencing any of the following:

  • Difficulty managing your thoughts, feelings and every day life.

  • Ways in which you used to deal with challenges are no longer effective.

  • You are experiencing a significant change and/or transition which feels hard to navigate.

  • You realise there are ways in which you behave and/or think which no longer serve you but you are struggling to let go of these ways of being and/or thinking.

  • Life feels empty and meaningless.

  • You feel you don't know, understand and/or like yourself.

A regular confidential space where you can explore these difficulties with an experienced mental health professional provides an opportunity to gain a more comprehensive understanding of these, as well as ways to improve your situation.

Adolescents can benefit immensely from counselling and psychotherapy. They rely on the support of adults to help them make sense of their world and better understand who they are. Because of the very normal desire for independence during these years, they may reject the support offered by parents. Having a trusted adult outside of the family with whom they can talk with openly and confidentially can make a significant difference to an adolescent's well-being.
